Alternate ending

Good news for movie lovers =D, here’s an alternate ending to the movie “I am legend” starring Will Smith. According to my bro this is the actual ending from the book. I think a lot of people didn’t really liked the ending for the movie version, so if ur one of those people ur gonna love this ending =)

Do pay attention to a ‘butterfly on the glass’ coz it’s not really obvious…

Spoilers ahead for those who haven’t watch the movie…

waste of tax payer’s money

If u’ve been following citizen nades’s collumn on the sun, u’ll probably know how much of our taxpayer’s hard-earned money has probably been flushed down “somebody’s” infinite bottomless pocket. Take for example this paragraph:

If the National Sports Council (NSC) pays RM10 million annually for a daily sports programme over television, how much are taxpayers paying on a daily basis?

Working on 52 weeks, it costs RM192,307.69 a week or RM38,461.54 a day. Working on 25 minutes of the programme, taking away five minutes for the commercials, it cost RM1,538.46 per minute assuming the programme is aired on weekdays. So much for them dollars, but let’s talk a little bit of sense. Ask any advertising professional worth his or her salt and the answer would be: Something is not right.

Does the NSC need such a programme? What are its benefits? How many people watch the programme and in advertising jargon, how many rating points does it enjoy? Does it help enhance the standard of Malaysian sports? Who made the decision to enter into such a deal? Did thought go into this before a decision was made or was it signed so that certain quarters can benefit?

In short, they are asking: “what is your return on investment?”

Taken from Citizen Nades’s column by R.Nadeswaran on May 28th 2008 from HERE. <<< Read full article here

If u asked the question, “10 million for what show? how come I never heard of it?” then ur on the right track wtf. The whole deal just does not make sense, spend so much of our money on a show that the general public has no idea it even existed in the first place. It definitely failed to serve as a purpose to ‘encourage’ youths to be participate in sports loh, coz we never heard of it before in the first place @*^#%!@.

And then there’s the infamous ‘send-some-kids-to-the-UK-to-be-trained-by-some-angmoh-and-become-world-class-football-players’ mumbo-jumbo. It cost us a several dozen million ringgit and the outcome is nilllllll, is our malaysian football youth team world famous after going to UK and living in a HOTEL for A FEW MONTHS, if im not mistaken they were given pocket money oso wtf. All using OUR money, the tax payer’s everyday hard earned money paid in tax to our beloved government wtf im so patriotic see wtf. Aih I won’t get into details coz it would take lots of time to backtrack and dig up old articles about these issues. But if anyone is interested in knowing more about our country’s corruption and especially public waste of funds I strongly recommend to read THIS column. Bookmark it or something lah it updates every Monday and Wednesday, not for the faint hearted wtf.

On a slightly related note, the fight for more scholarship continues, now it reached the parliament dei. Truth be told, are what they’re doing a futile attempt? Which minister would risk their position and reputation to help these potential doctors/lawyers/scientists/artists/businessmen of the future leh? Does helping these students provide them any political mileage or advantages? Don’t think so… But come to think of it, if they are now breeding a generation of students, especially those who tried to get scholarships but failed to,  that have no hope or faith in our government’s ability to be equal to all races and people from different social economic background, then we’re basically breeding a new generation that will not support the current government rite? maybe that’s also one of the reason for this year’s march general election results perhaps. Young people who has been discarded by the government, are now standing up to fight for their rights by voting against the government, and in another 5 years, who knows?

Fwah so random, Imma trying to talk politics n shitz yo so plz forgive mua for the noobness in mua punya writing wtf. omg im getting more and more random better stop now i’m getting more random ideas as i type wtf.

Joke from hell

Imma start putting a picture at the beginning of every post to indicate my mood lol x)

Got this from an email =)

A Malaysian named Ah Meng dies and arrives in hell. He finds that there is a different hell for each country and he can choose which hell he wants to go to. He first goes to the Singapore hell. There outside the door is Ah Lian, looking bored. Ah Meng asks, “What do they do here?”

Ah Lian replies, “First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Singapore devil comes in and whips your butt for the rest of the day.”

“That’s terrible!” gasps Ah Meng. He is terrified! “I’m going to check out the other hells!”, he yells. He checks out the Thailand hell, the Indian hell as well as the Russian hell and many more. He discovers that they are all more or less the same as the Singapore hell. You get tortured to death basically!

Then he comes to the Malaysian hell and discovers a huge line of people waiting to get in. The line circles around the lobby five times before receding off into the horizon. Ah Meng pushes his way through to the head of the line. Amazed he asks “What do they do here?”

He is told “First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Malaysian devil comes in and whips your butt for the rest of the day.”

“But… but that’s the same as all the other hells! Why are there so many people waiting to get in?” Ah Meng protests pointing to the long queue.

“True, but because maintenance is so bad that the electric chair does not work, someone has stolen all the nails from the bed, and the devil is a former Gormen servant, so he comes in, signs the register and then goes to the canteen for teh-tarik…”

Ah Meng faints!!!

productive holiday?

Answer is no la, been so slow in whatever I do wey. Looking for journals have been an extra pain since this semester’s research project seems to be quite a new topic, pretty hard to find decent journals. Guess it’s a good thing, means our department is making new grounds in research I suppose? Hope at the end of the day we’ll get a decent result and maybe even get to publish our research in the next symposium. Or at least post our research on the notice board lar looks so nice wey to see ur name there 0_o

Spent most of the time either reading through journals half-heartedly or chit chatting with old friends when I asked them to do my research. Everything is so different now in our lives, a lot of friends going to UTAR or TARC for some reason, one even chose to study UTAR when he can go US to study omg bbq. STPM results just came out not so long ago, and most of my friends are just working part time while waiting for a reply for acceptance into a local uni…

Speaking of uni.. (here i go again wtf), one of my friend, also a very bright student, is currently waiting for a reply from local uni, most of us know, what we applied for to study would probably become something totally different. For example u tick bioscience they give u sastera zaman batu or when u tick business they give u kemahiran keropok or something. So this friend of mine, who has this discouraged look, told us he’ll take almost anything that they offer, as long as he’s got a little bit of interest in it… life is damn unfair lah, i think i need not whine about it. I had the luxury of choosing the field I wanted to go into, heck, some people even if they had the money they don’t get to learn what they want to. It’s a real torture la doing a job for the rest of your life that u can’t find any interest in, how can u be a productive worker if u don’t have that motivation and interest to do ur work in the first place.

And if u learn industrial and organizational psychology, u’ll know how important an employee’s motivation is. Not only that, there’s so many different factors that influences a person’s interest, whether the person likes his work to be routine or not, requires enterprising skills or not, all this can be found through a simple questionnaire wey, some more so accurate. I do remember doing something almost similar like that back in high-school when undergoing PRS training, the thing is, if they already have those materials, then y not let all the students, especially form 3 students that just finished PMR and have ntg to do, y not let them do that test?

I once saw this statement in my high school counsellor’s office (i’m a PRS dont get any ideas to make fun of me wtf), it says “Once you found the job that you love, you won’t have to work another day in your life.” a bit far-fetched, but it is true most of the time. Fwah this entry so boring wtf, i’m typing this as my dad watch a very boring and confusing movie wtf so u can kinda see my thoughts are all over the place =_=

wah so dull i cannot tahan adi babai

This is another reason y I don’t like our education system here, not only we breed spoon-fed students, we also breed students that are completely clueless about the country’s politics. I mean, who are we kidding lar there’s always a race barrier when it comes to picking students to go overseas la, this might sound cliche but one of the example is our matriculation system which says it all, 90% Bumi 10% Non-Bumi, it’s not about what grade u get, it’s about whether ur ancestors a couple hundred years ago reach here first or not can mou wtf? if u still don’t get the point that race matters, then plz kiss ur elbow and start reading newspaper already wtf.

We like to brag about our multi-cultural society and what crap but other countries like Australia, United States, Britain, Singapore they all have different races lar but only we’re so insecure need to keep mentioning “protect racial harmony” 10 times every week as u can see from the newspaper, have pictures of three different races holding hands in children books, have the column “race” in whatever application we fill up. And frankly speaking, this is not going to end anytime soon lor, vision 2020 coming soon hor but with policies like that we can never become a ‘developed’ nation, no matter how technologically, logistically, financially, kia-su-cally advanced we r, we’ll forever be inferior when it comes to being just a human being.
