Where was I wtf, right the thesis bitch.

Yeap, after a gruesome and stressful 10 months of soul-draining, heart-attack inducing, seizure triggering, blood pressure increasing, emotionally torturing journey later, my thesis is finally over and done with!

Thesis seriously took away a lot of my time, I’m the kind of person who can’t really enjoy going out until I’m really free from assignments. I remember my friends used to ask me out to CC but I always have to reject them because of the guilt, and now they don’t ask me anymore wtf. And I’m the kind of person who needs a long time to get into the mood of doing assignments, if I were to go out and have fun I will mess up this ‘routine’ that I have before I start my work, the routine usually goes something like:

1. Facebook (eg: RC/Tycoons/Friend’s links/photos
2. Check mail
3. Read the Star
4. Read Daily Chilli
5. Watch some webcomics
6. Read Timothy Tiah and fourfeetnine (which is kind of odd because I only read those 2 blogs and they just happen to be a couple)
7. Facebook again
8. Play 5 min online game
9. Check mail again
10. The ‘oh-I-wonder-where-this-link-goes’ moments
11. Listen to Taylor Swift
12. Youtube for L4D2 videos wtf
13. Facebook… like… again…
14. Taylor Swift twitter
15. Pat the dog
16. Taylor Swift songs again
17. Time to do some work, right after lunch wtf

1. Repeat half of the list above
2. Cry in a corner from guilt
3. Start work!
4. Forgot to turn off msn, can’t be rude and not reply right?
5. Oh shit bed time

Yeah that’s about it, guess why I’m interested in internet addiction wtf. As you can see I need to allocate a lot of time just to do small amount of work so for the past 10 months life has been more or less like this wtf.

Now that thesis is over, I feel like we are another step closer to graduating already! To all 5th batch students, we only got 5 weeks left together! Can you believe it? It’s just 5 weeks, and we only have classes twice a week, which means 10 more days of classes only! That’s like less than 2 weeks! oh how I’m gonna miss going to classes. But I guess we’re all growing up and we can’t stay in this stage forever =) Gosh it’s not even the end of our sem yet I’m already thinking 5 weeks ahead, we r so gonna party once our semester is done! And we haven’t even plan our graduation trip! We got plenty of work to do :P

p/s: I actually wanted to make a dramatic break up entry with my thesis but given the circumstance of recent events I think it wouldn’t really be funny anymore wtf

I am currently quadruple checking my thesis from top to bottom and left to right and inside out, whether its spelling mistakes, formating, APA, content, decimals, 1/2 inch spacings, 3.81 cm, 2.54cm, 3.17cm, margins, headings, page numbers, font format, appendix, labels…

Maybe this is how it feels like to have a baby that is almost due, paranoia devours u and u keep checking every single thing like how u would when the baby is going to arrive wtf.

I hereby declare this is the most paranoid moment of my entire academic life as of my 20 years of life wtf.

“Live talk show was cut short, says Phang”

“PETALING JAYA: A live talk show on Bernama TV on corruption ended 20 minutes prematurely after the producers suddenly pulled the plug on the one-hour show on Friday night.

And Tan Sri Robert Phang, one of the panellists that night, claims it was political interference.

Phang, who is a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Advisory Committee panel member, alleged yesterday that MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong tried to stop the show fearing he would expose the deputy Education Minister’s involvement in the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) controversy.

Phang was a panellist with The Sun deputy editor Terence Fernandez on Friday’s Hello Malaysia talk show aired over Astro 502 at 10pm. However, the one-hour long programme, titled Graft and Corruption: The Diabolical Challenges Ahead, ended at 10.40pm.

It is understood that the re-runs at 3.30am, 6.30am and 8.30am the following day were replaced with another interview after a person of higher authority at Bernama TV insisted on it.

In an interview with The Star, Phang alleged that certain MCA party members led by Dr Wee had exerted pressure on the producers to cancel the broadcast to prevent the panellists from discussing “sensitive issues” such as the PKFZ scandal.

“They also blocked all telephone calls to the show by viewers to black out comments,” he claimed.

Dr Wee could not be reached for comment.

Dr Wee’s former consultancy company Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd had conducted a conceptual study for Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd, which is owned by Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, the chief executive officer of PKFZ’s turnkey developer Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd.

Dr Wee was linked to the PKFZ scandal following a blog posting two weeks ago, but he has repeatedly said that his former company was only doing a conceptual study for Port Klang and that no fee was charged.”

Politicians, don’t u just love them

If u havent heard, 3 (or 4?) churches got burned down over the issue of using the word ‘Allah’ in their publications, I didn’t really follow the news so I don’t know much details behind it. I know it’s a big national crisis n all and the PM is probably shitting his pants worrying about how this will reflect on the whole 1Malaysia thing, even though I find that funny, as I was reading the article, I found something even funnier.

So if ur a politician, what’s ur first reaction when things like that happen?

I’m sorry if u feel offended, but my first reaction was actually to laugh at how these politicians try to show concern, I guess they r just starved of good publicity these days. Yeah yeah I know I’m being immature, cause politicians have been doing this for I don’t know, since the existence of politics? But still, once u understand the simple psychology behind their acts, it’s kinda funny, but it borders on disgusting, taking advantage of other people’s misfortune to promote ur own image. They can’t just make a statement condemning the action of course, coz most people don’t bother reading what they say or they don’t read the papers, so the most effective means is to appear in pictures, they understand very well how influential the media can be on their image and they’re making full use of it. I guess this is one of the side effects of learning psychology, u get to see the ugly side of mankind lol

Alcohol+perverts=

Viewer discretion advised, the following video shows a girl dancing at a NYE countdown party and got molested by 4~5 guys.

It happened at a NYE Beach party, which explains y the girl is dancing in so little clothing. But ironically all the pervs weren’t even in swimwear, meaning they r just there to see chicks in swimsuits and as u can see from the vid, take advantage of the situation. According to the many sites that reported this, alcohol was served, and when u mix alcohol with crowd, u basically invited all kinds of people including the ones who do not have the best intention in mind.

I’m quite sure sexism and perception on women played a huge role here, the pervs probably watched too much porn that’s why they only view women as sex objects, and when ur seen as an object, pervs will probably think its normal to feel u up and down whenever they like. Btw, all this happened at Sentosa in Singapore, so perverts do not differ much whether ur in a developed country or not. I read from a blogger that mentioned a very interesting fact that most of us didn’t notice. If you notice these ‘beach parties’ where the dresscode is supposed to be swim wears only, what they’re doing is basically hiring bikini-clad women for free.  If girls wan to get into the ‘party’, they have to wear swimsuits, and if they do maybe they get free drinks or something, but in some cases they dont get anything at all. And when there’s girls in swimsuits, u’ll get guys and when guys want to get the girls drunk, they buy alcohol, shit loads of them wtf, so for the organizers its just more money.

You might think that the girl should have gone with a bunch of friends blabla, but just how safe are u even when ur with a bunch of friends? Can they actually protect u the crowd outnumbers u or are u actually safe from a perverts hand in a crowd? All they need to do is push themselves around and pretend they are being pushed or something since there’s such a big crowd, and it’s almost impossible to get an eye-witness since everybody is busy partying or looking at fireworks or something. Maybe u think u can always keep an eye out for one another vigilantly, but then are u even having fun wtf. NYE parties or any huge crowd for that matter are notorious for having perverts who take advantage of the situation, so if in the future there’s a law that supports castration, please support it wtf. There’s a good rational behind it, u see if u castrate the motherfuckers, not only u make them less horny all the time, u can basically wipe out the pervert genes in the entire human gene pool! aint that killing 2 birds with one cut wtf.

Reminds me of an UFO

Yeap, it’s a merry-go-round :D

The pictures were taken at Sunway Lagoon’s Nightpark, basically the usual rides, but AT NIGHT, which u know, is totally different wtf. We went in for free coz its still promotion period, but of course need to pay for the rides. I can’t help but wonder do they actually make money by operating at night, probably tailored for people who go to clubs too early and want to kill some time wtf. One good thing about it is some people have tight schedules and weekends r very precious so I guess the nightpark is a good idea :O

The next day for new years eve countdown, I went to Joash’s apartment to take firework photos. I have to say the view is totally awesome and I can’t stress that enough! and the penthouse/duplex apartment is sooooo cool la, I couldnt take picture of the place coz it’s not mine duh, but just remember it’s cool wtf. When I first saw the view, I did an evil laugh (eg: Muahahaha) since I’m alone, Joash was at church, n Suet had a mental breakdown wtf.

The view to the pyramid was on the balcony, since the balcony has a grill and my tripod is not taller than the grill, I had to some how raise the tripod…

As you can see, I used 3 chairs and put the tripod on top, I know it ain’t pretty but I felt a strange sense of proudness when taking this pic with my hp wtf.

It was also my first time shooting pictures in RAW format, which is totally new for me, I didn’t even know I need a special photoshop add-on to edit the RAW pics until I called Han. And one thing about shooting in RAW is that it takes a longer time to save the pictures once u’ve taken them, which totally wasted a lot of my time when the fireworks was going on. Anyway here are some firework pics that manage to survive the filtering process …

There was a lot of shots that was wasted because I had bad timing of when the fireworks will actually explode, miscalculations were pretty costly in this situation because the fireworks only lasted for like, 5 minutes and with my camera setting i needed like 10 seconds+ just for one photo to be taken, combined with my inexperience at using the tripod and bad timing of the fireworks, some of the shots were kinda wasted la. But I definitely learned a lot from this experience so the next fireworks display I’m gonna get my revenge >=D

All the photos in this entry are not possible without the help from Suet Ling and Joash, thank u two very much for the opportunity and the encouragement, really appreciate it =)

Regarding the title of the entry, because all these photos are taken just by lowering the shutter speed, that’s why I feel that I have learned enough about shutter speed for now, and should really move on to another skill, wonder what should I learn next? :O
