The last few weeks of 2009

For the past few weeks I’ve been at home busy with thesis so I practically fulfilled all the criteria for being ‘no-life’. Only went out once or twice for birthdays and didn’t really had much opportunities to take photos.

I just want to quickly show something that I noticed on fb

Status update from the future wtf -1 minute

Ok back to normal photos wtf, C&C welcome as usual =)

3 of the 4 Xmas trees at Pavillion, I actually prefered the pic from the previous entry hmm

The following pics are taken at Nisha’s Partay at Menara KL Citron. This is a normal disco ball but…

If you slow down the shutter speed it looks like its turning very fast wtf cheap thrills

A different disco ball, same effect. If I were to name this picture, it would be “weeeeeeeeeeee” wtf

Special thanks to Nisha for organizing the party and her friends Niru and Yvonne for entertaining me while I was lost wtf. Hope u all r drunk enough to not remember my dancing wtf.

I’ve wasted too much time writing my thesisssssssss hopefully on new years eve I can find a good place to take pictures of the fireworks, cannot end the year like no-lifer wtf. I’m so gonna go somewhere to take photos once I finish writing, I don’t care if I have to go alone I just want to go la dammnit I think next stop most likely would be Gasing Hill, not sure got things to take or not. Drop me a msg on msn if u wanna tag along, would most likely be after new years.

Till then, Happy New Year ppl! :D

Friendly reminder to all cockroach

Dear Cockroaches,

I would like to remind you NOT to piss off a guy who is busy doing his thesis, because you will die a horrible, HORRIBLE death. Just like your family (or was that your distant cousins?) that I just used a freaking baseball bat to crush repeatedly, excessively and without mercy. You see, I did not have any decent entertainment the whole day, and if you keep running around my desk like it’s a bloody stadium, well, let’s just say reincarnation comes early for you wtf.

Pictured: Not how you will look like when u die

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,

The guy who just killed your entire family

p/s: Merry Xmas! and a Happy New Year!  (if you can live that long)

2012?

First of all, this is not going to be an entry about ‘ooooh the world is going to end what are you going to do on the last day of your life yadi yada’

A lot of people watched the movie and go all into crazy-environmentalist-emo mode about how the world is going to end and one week after that, they go all into crazy-sparkling-emo-vampires mode. Yeah that’s how sad humanity is wtf. Though I believed there is a good intention behind making the movie 2012, which is to remind us about taking care of mother nature yadi yada. But I think the whole movie sort of loses its meaning like, I don’t know, half an hour into the movie? wtf

*warning mild spoilers ahead*

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a total of THREE scenes of planes taking off from the runway when the whole place is falling apart.

No.1

No.2

No.3

which is in yellowstone park, can’t find the picture but you get the meaning >_>

I mean, seriously do we have to be reminded THREE times about how dangerous it is to fly a plane when the whole place is falling apart wtf?

We have been warned wtf

All this is accompanied by lots of nice special effect of how big cities would be destroyed by huge tidal waves and how Obama would stay behind and die with the people, probably out of guilt wtf.  I think all this instant death scenes of tidal waves sort of sends out the wrong message to the audience about how the world will end. The end of the world most probably won’t come in huge tidal waves or earth restructuring or volcano eruptions.

Our world will end in a slow and torturous rate. Starting with global warming, mass deforestation, uncontrolled urbanization, and rise in sea levels. All this would then lead to drought, increased temperature leading to inability to grow crops, rise in sea levels will reclaim coastal towns and cities, diseases will flourish under high global temperatures,  food chains will be disrupted due to extinction of animal species, loss of agriculture would lead to starvation, malnourishment and unemployment, unemployment would lead to poverty and crime, these would lead to higher cost for the government to maintain, there will be a shortage of resources (especially petroleum), when resources run out, economies will collapse, and our currency will no longer have any value. Once all this happen the civilization will descend into chaos and anarchy. Now, THAT”s how the world will end, you think you can get away with all those problems so easily wtf? All your problems will be swept clean by a tidal wave? No way man, we’re gonna die a slow and painful deathhhh wtf . All those things that I just mentioned are already occurring, and they are only going to get worse in the next 20 to 30 years to come.

I’m sure we all have a basic idea of what will happen if humanity continues in its direction its going now, but lately I’ve watched a very englightening movie/documentary about how earth will change in the next several decades to come. The movie is called Earth 2100 and it tells a fictional (or non-fictional, who knows) story from a perspective of one woman in the world we live in, and how the world will change in the next few years.

I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who is not oblivious to the changing world that we live in, and would wish to learn more about environmental issues. Before you close this page and click on Facebook, know that our world will not stay this way forever, please do not take our environment for granted.

The world is coming to an end, not in 2012, not by tidal waves or earth quakes, but by our very own hands and in the few decades to come. The least we can do is to be aware and try our best to live an environmentally friendly lifestyle. There’s a lot that can be done if we are aware of the problems…

Mother earth is getting tired, and it’s time for her children to take care of her =)

Oh look! A Crab!

I’m so bored I almost gave it a name

To be continued … no, not the story of the crab, to be continued until thesis is less of a bitch
